helpful sign

"Gators cannot be tamed and feeding them
can result in them mistaking a hand for
a handout! Florida law prohibits the
feeding or molesting of alligators!"

No worries, there.

Hard to believe some people molest alligators. Oh, I know, they poke big sticks at them, or shoot to injure, awful things like that, but still hard to believe. What if the 'gator says "I'm gonna get you for that"? They can move fast when they have to.

i'm glad we have no alligators over here - but if we had, i wouldn't molest them...smiles

makes one wonder...who would molest an innocent alligator anyway...what kind of sicko would consider such a heinous crime!!!

I have to wonder who would need to be warned away, but I'm sure there's someone.

Well, I've never seen anyone hurting a gator, but I HAVE seen folks feeding them jumbo marshmallows from a dock on a local river. I was in a canoe at the time. The 14 foot gator was about 10 feet away from me, and I was not amused ...
