pretty in pink

While many of you are "seeing red"
in your autumnal palettes,

here in the land of flowers
we are seeing pink.

Not the height of fashion
for fall foliage,

but pretty, nonetheless.

Very pretty, and warmer weather sounds pretty good, too, Leslie. At times the autumnal palette can be highly overrated, like today with weather hovering at the freezing point and last night's sprinkling of snow still on my car.

Your pink looks very refreshing on this rainy, dreary day with a forecast for light snow tomorrow.

The flowers are very pretty, and while I think I'd enjoy the warm weather you have, I don't think I'd appreciate flowers as much as I do if it weren't for the change of seasons. I REALLY like change. :)

It's true, our flowers are rather "out of season" in their fashion choices. But I think they still look quite chic in their pink wardrobes.

Frankly, the fall colors are beautiful while they last, but soon they will fade. You can have your flowers all year long. About every Jan. I'm wishing I was in Florida!
Lovely colors---just right to brighten up a day!

I still have some blooms here in Nebraska, but won't for long. Your second one is a pentas, right? It's one I like to grow every summer.
