shadowy paths

walking through shadows today,
reaching for light.

Forced myself to go for a walk with the dog.

Even though I still hurt - I rejoice in

the sun's warmth freshened by a cool breeze

sparrows chattering in a palm tree

an impossibly blue, cloudless sky

wind chimes humming in a neighboring yard

Beautiful, Leslie.
I can't often walk my dog and, when I do, it is always much too short a walk for her, but I'm grateful to have been able to go out.

You know the illness hasn't won when you can still get up and go out despite the pain and find joy in the midst of the pain. Thinking and praying about you.
