giving thanks

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."
—Albert Schweitzer

I am thankful on this day before Thanksgiving, for all of the people who have reached out to me during a dark and weary time with my illness. When my light went out, you let me borrow yours - through your words, your thoughts, your prayers, your love. I am so grateful...

And it all started with following God's nudge and starting a blog!:)

I am thankful for God bringing us together, dear Leslie.

Blessings, friend.

That is a beautiful quote. I've not read it before, but find it wonderfully true.

Dearest Leslie,
Sometimes I see that you have not blogged for a few days, and I know that you must not be feeling well. I wish that you would email and let us know so that we could support you. I offer you my love and prayers. I am holding you in the light this Thanksgiving and always. You are easy to love because you are so loving. My kitty sends you a million kisses! Here is a poem by William Stafford that I thought you might like. I will leave the link and you can search for it on Panhala. The picture that goes with it is too precious to miss.

I hope your Thanksgiving finds you bathed in light, bathed in it dear Leslie.
