winter in florida

Flowers appear on the earth;

the season of singing has come,

the cooing of doves

is heard in our land.

That's beautiful, Leslie. I love that verse. We've had a pair of mourning doves nesting in our neighborhood and they're so sweet and cute. This year they raised at least one youngster, and I saw him on the wires leading to our house (old house, no underground wiring).
A beautiful way to start my day. Thank you.

love the angle, the colour is spectacular.

the temps are dropping rapidly now... won't be long before I'll be waxing and waning over a stubborn November rose ...

A beautiful scarlet bouquet, a circle of color, surrounded by tiny white flowers, by light, then accompanied by the Song of Songs--one of the finest poems ever written. Lovely, Leslie.

I really like having this flower around my perennials each year. However, they don't always do well as a cut flower for a vase, but they light up their part of the garden.
You took this at a great angle. It looks like you have 4 little trumpets in there or open mouths seeking like baby birds do. Totally cool photo, Les. :)
