a rose by any other name may smell as sweet,

but personally i think my favorite flower

just might be a tulip.

Don't you just love the way the center of these tulips look? To think nature did it all. xo

Oh beautiful! Lovely!

They are almost unreal with those thick and shiny petals. I think I prefer fluffy flowers, like peonies. But, really, I love all flowers! Enjoy yours!

I've been so missing your verses! I liked how you went against the usual. I liked the rythem to the words--a bit of a song.
Cheerful start to the morning!

Leslie, I love tulips, too...love, love, love. Unfortunately, so do my cats. They eat them right out of the vase. When we wake in the morning we see a vase full of green stems, which is infuriating. Let me know if you found the link to the Winnie the Pooh test. If not, I'll send it to you.

I agree. Tulips are my fave...so symbolic and so ever fresh.

Very tough choice... rose or tulips... For January/February I'd say tulips--they give the hope of spring. :o) Happy Day, Leslie. Hope you're Mom is doing OK. Happy Weekend ((HUGS)) Oh, stop by my place, if you can, during the weekend–I’m having a fun Valentine Giveaway!

I agree -- tulips just say "joy of spring!" to me. And I love the centers. I took a picture of a yellow one once that had 3 stamen (is that what they are called?) in the center -- instantly reminded me of the Trinity.

Still praying for you and your mom, Leslie. May God comfort you and bring you both healing...
