this little Christmas elf (mom) is in the hospital at present, so i may be a bit distracted and innattentive to your lovely blogs for a few days (i hope only a few!) or i may drop in to savor your beauty and selfishly restore my soul without commenting. bear with me? and maybe say a little prayer for my mom?

Of course I'll say a little prayer for your mom. More than one little prayer. And some for you, too.
Take care.

Of course, I'm praying. Be careful of yourself also. When Dad was hospitalized the fibro became worse because I wasn't particularly good at taking excellent care of him AND me simultaneously (and teach). So remember, she needs you to take care of yourself also.

Definitely prayers for your mom, Leslie. Please let me know what is going on if you have a moment. May the One who is Everlasting Love and Compassion surround her gently in healing light, wrap her in nurturing warmth and protect her, bringing her back safely to those whose hearts long for her return.
xoxo,
Noelle

I hope it isn't anything serious my friend. Saying a prayer she will be back on her feet soon.

I can see where you get your beautiful looks.

Sending you BIG hugs! xo

Thank you all, so much, for your encouraging thoughts and prayers. My mom made it through her heart catheterization and repair of a blocked bypass graft today. She has another repair to face in about a month. She is very weak, but her color looks better already. I told her you thought she was pretty and that made her smile!

I'm writing this from my bed, where I have collapsed from utter exhaustion after the day at the hospital. Mom is supposed to go home tomorrow or the next day if all goes well, and although I am thrilled on the one hand, I am apprehensive about how to care for her with my own health limitations. I know many of you face similar things. One day at a time...
