and a heron came to tea...

this is harold. alias prince hal. he stopped by the cottage yesterday to say hello and get an afternoon snack. if you look closely, you'll see a small band on his right leg, which means he's been captured and released at some point in his life. in harold's case, he was probably rehabilitated due to a broken leg. he still has a limp, but that doesn't slow him down, much... he still manages to make his daily rounds of the beach visitors, much to their photographic delight.

How delightful, Leslie. If you have a day when you don't quite feel up to birding, Prince Hal comes to visit you. I love that, and he's quite dashing, isn't he?

Hi Leslie,
You are a lucky person to have such handsome Harold for tea. I like people and birds who limp.
