Great photo. Beautiful dog. I'm like that canine. I lay down in a comfortabel spot. the bed doesn't need to be "made". Thinnk I'll check my slumber palace out for a nap if the rain comes like they say. Love the haiku. fits perfcetly.peace
Your haiku together with the photo... oh my, fabulous!!!
a perfect intimate meeting of hearts and minds. we can all relate to the hope for comfort, the gift of stolen moments, a nest of familiar blankets that hold the scent of those we love.i adore you leslie, and the beseeching eyes of your furry friend.
I liked the gesture..so considerate and loving.. well done..
Great haiku, we came home yesterday to Skippy on our bed snuggled in the covers with his head on my pillow. Your Lady has a lot of character as well, she is so cute!
Those eyes full of sweetness and innocence get us everytime! Very sweet!
there are just some things to which "no" is not an option ...
Just excellent! What a soulful, beseeching face your (?) dog has! I melted!!
perfection. I know exactly how that dog feels.
It's so wonderful to provide creature comfort to a creature that gives us so much comfort.
oh those eyes....how can you resist?
Blame it on the dog.
What a wonderful photo, Leslie. I don't really think she'll help make the bed later, but you don't want to disturb her when she's so comfortable!— KKay, Alberta, CanadaAn Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
As a flagrant doggie person...I love your Haiku and the pup looks quite regal.
Like others here, I am a lifetime dog lover and owner. I have never really seen a basenji. He or she is gorgeous. I love your photo and words. As I type, my Mollie barks hello.
Sweet and great picture of your sweet dog :)
Oh, he is so adorable! Does he alwasy sleep with you? I agree with your haiku: he's not ready to give up that comfy bedding anytime soon! That expression! And looking into those eyes! Such soul! What a sweetheart!
Leslie Dear,I did my darndest to try to find a pyramid carving of a Basenji in a nest of blankets on an unmade bed. I am certain that one exists somewhere. Your Lady can have anything she wants as far as I am concerned. She is the sweetest girl I have ever seen. I did find this, however for your reading pleasure and your dog's geneological history (after a fashion).http://www.basenji-freunde.com/pharaohs_age.htmxoxo,Noelle
Hahahaha I love how dogs know just how to lay on the guilt with their eyes. Cats on the other hand, just give you a dirty look, you almost feel like you should apologize for disturbing them.
with that adorable face how can you not leave the blanket on the floor?! xo
per-fect-matter-of-fact. (no verse, no)-;)n♥
