early morning

the sun has kissed the clouds
awake,
and blushed them
rosy.
the trees have missed it all,
being
late-risers.

Somehow, your blog dropped off my feed, and I've missed much. (Either technology hates me or God was protecting me since you've been at the beach and He knew I'd be tempted to jealousy) Loveliness here, as ever. I've missed you.

Oh, Leslie, I absolutely love this personification! If only I could get my students to see through your eyes! Stunning photos as well! Love to you! (Had a few nudges this week concerning you, but He doesn't have to 'bruise' my ribs to get my attention any more.) ;>)

A beautiful view to wake up to. It is much better to be gently awaken with this view instead of an alarm.

this. is. my. favorite. poem. EVER.

it belongs in a beautiful children's book next to an illustration of trees and sun. but it reminds me of an emily dickinson poem, too, because it's more than a children's poem - it's deceptively simple.
