I think I would hate the crunching! I love the chirping!
Lovely...Have a nice day !Pierre
Whether I like the chirping or not depends on the situation. They make me nervous jumping around esp. is they get in my classroom (the seniors let loose about 100 of them on their 'trick' night. I wasn't too keen when one was trying to jump in my school bag. I figured he'd jump back out in my face when I picked it up to take home! That would not have been cool!!!:(This one has pretty colors--I never looked that closely. Kind of reminds me of the transformers my grandsom plays with. Or maybe the transformer creator got his ideas from insects like grasshoppers! :)Great close-up les.
What a cutie!
Great red racing stripe that he has!
i remember one year we had them here, thousands, coating the fields, the ground... it was one very loud, long crunch that summer. but you've managed to pull sympathy from me for them through this photo: amazing, really :)
he looks like a nice snack. mmmm. Just kidding.
Ha! I try not to crunch anything! :)Great shot! XXX
Oh dear after seeing this one so close it would be worth it to drip over my own feet just so I wouldn't crunch him/her. xo
LOL.....yes, i hate the crunch they make while be stepped on, although ours are so fast that they never get under my feet.....
I've never noticed a red stripe on them before, they move too fast. I don't like the clicking noise they make when they fly, I think they are always trying to land on me! Thank goodness there are not many of them where I live. Have a good day.
I would have to say that would be one of my Least favorite sounds!!!The thought of that sound makes me cringe :)
I do not like them, Sam I am. But I think only someone as sweet as you could discern a cute expression on something so crunchable.
gah!!crickets are worse, though.
I heard it's been very dry there so you're bound to have lots. They're not my favourite but I might have made an exception here too.Nice shot Leslie.
My son Cavan wants this bug--he is looking over my shoulder and wants to know:~How big is it?~Can I have it?
