a beautiful psalm for these troubled times and for all of us who are seeking peace in times of struggle. Peace be with you dear, xoxo,Noelle
His joy is our strength ... each and every day. Love your beach scenes.
Sometimes I wonder where is the joy of the Lord...how can it be my strength? But then I remember it is not my joy, or the joy I feel that is my strength...it is His Joy that is my strength. When the ones He loves are experiencing sorrow and pain why is He is filled with Joy? because He sees the end, or should I say the beginning. Knowing that He sees our future and has joy gives me strength for today and hope for tomorrow.
Yes and Amen.xox
Hope you're having a good day, Leslie. Scripture is always a comfort, isn't it...especially the poetic Psalms. And thanks for your kind and generous comments about my job loss...you used the word, "bewilderment." So apt...the perfect word. I'm holding it in my heart as I go along...and consider myself luckier than you with your forever-haunting-you illness.
peaceful pic to go with your morning prayer...sigh..
I fell asleep praying/asking/praising and woke to feeling the need to do the same.Lots of questions I have. The two Psalm verses are great ones, but at time as you know, it's hard to really be glad and to be open to Him making us glad in troubled times. It's been rough. Needed to read this from someone who understands.Beautiful photo. I'm sorry I didn't try harder to get to the beach this summer.
"...and be glad all our days..." This lifts the soul, Leslie... As does your tranquil beach scene. It's been a busy week, I needed a tranquility moment. ;o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
A beautiful and comforting text you've chosen, Leslie. We've been enjoying scenes like this for almost the past 2 weeks. It will be 2 more months before we're back to enjoy more.
