Oh, Leslie, so beautifully said, and so true.— KKay, Alberta, CanadaAn Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
wow. this is so amazing.
So fitting with my blog post today.Love the quote and, as always, your beautiful photography. :)Blessings to you!
I love this, Leslie!
so glad to see you here again ... with that spark still going.
It's good for us that the flame does remember and that light DOES conquer darkness.Beautiful haiku, les.
light conquers darkness... This is sooo LOVELY, Leslie! I often think of light as love made visible. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
This is beautiful Leslie. For a moment I was fearful that you had lost someone, but I see that you are reflecting on the light which we all must do. But those candles would not look half as lovely were they not sitting in shadow would they? I keep thinking there must be some place in between the light and the darkness that some of us sit for a while, feeling unnoticed and unloved. But we must remember that the Flame lies within as well. I have a poem for you. It is not about fire but I like it and I hope it makes your day lovely.http://www.panhala.net/Archive/Whats_Left.html. I will send it to your box too.xoxox,Noelle
Leslie! So happy to see your post pop up on my sidebar--I've missed you. Such a lovely, sparse piece. Someone as wordy as I am has such respect for the magic you make with few words. Blessings, friend!

dear one,it really is always about the light!i see your pure heart so often reaching out beyond your own darkness in love and support, lighting the hearts of those around you.today, for me, you are the light of grace. xoxoxoxoox
What a gorgeous haiku, Leslie...I've been trying to write a haiku but I'm not natural at it...
So beautiful and so true... thank you...
Leslie, just beautiful and so true ... the flame continues to burn.
Les, I love this...so much in expressed in so few words...beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Beautifully said. Have a good weekend.
A profound reason for candle-lighting in churches. The light keeps the darkness of forgetfullness at bay.
Light does indeed conquer darkness. Beautiful thoughts dear Leslie.
WHat a beautiful light you have shone here. Happy Friday and I hope you have a wonderful long weekend !
so very true. hugs.
beautiful picture and words Leslie. Have lit a couple of candles in some beautiful cathedrals this summer and have felt these words.vPeace,Ruth
So moving, Leslie~ from the title "memory of our losses" echoed by the candlelight which "remembers" and "pushes back the losses." Soon it will be Samhain/Halloween, and we will make a fire in the firepit. Half in celebration, half in memory...
Exquisite and true!! "light conquers darkness." Very well done, the combination of words and picture!!
Wow, Leslie, this is perfect all around.
Wise words, disguised in a haiku. They came right to my soul. Beautiful!
Hallelujah! for the light
mhmmmm.it does, the light. image 1 is mysterious...n♥
