i wish i could write like carl sandburg

The fog comes on little cat feet.
It sits looking over the harbor
and city on silent haunches and then moves on.

Well, your photos are as beautiful as any of his words, and I know I've read some of your poetry which rivals him, too.

The buffalo are gone, and those that saw the buffalo are gone...tears me up every time.

One of my favourite lines ....

Beautiful, peaceful shots, Leslie - great light and reflections.

Have a wonderful, peaceful Sunday.

Gorgeous photos, Leslie. Wonderful colors.
And wouldn't we all want to write a description like Sandburg's Fog? It gave me goosebumps the first time I read it, many many years ago.

I always use this poem in the personification part of my poetry unit---love it!
As for writing like Carl, you have your own unique, beautiful, from the heart style that reaches out and touches many. :>)

ahh leslie, but you write the world the way you see it, hear it, know it...from your heart...the world would be dimmer without YOUR light.
