these are the things

These are the things of morning:

pain

a stumble through the dark for medicine

prayer

a small dog with silky fur

love

a husband's warm goodbye kiss

fear

a flurry of anxious thoughts

resolve

a litany of mundane tasks

light

a glass globe, swinging as the curtains draw

song

a chorus of birds greets the day

life

a daughter's morning face

breath.

These are the things of morning.

So good for you to be present and thinking, counting the good along with the bad.

Hope you get a break soon.

This post is so soothing and calming. I always seem to be on edge these days. I need to spend more time noticing the little things around me.
