holding on...

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."  2 Corinthians 4:7

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

This has been a difficult week. My husband (usually the healthy one) has been in the hospital, and was finally diagnosed with pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart's lining. There have been many anxious moments, and even though his prognosis is good, it's a waiting game, still filled with many unknowns. Will the condition recur? (It can.) Will he tolerate the best medicine? (So far, no. But he's tolerating the second best.) Did the antibiotic they gave him in the hospital give him a dangerous intestinal bug? (We hope not.) I know these things are common to man, but this woman is a weak and weary soul at the moment. Just holding on with whatever faith I've got, to the One who promises to hold on to Me and those I love.

So thankful He holds more tightly to us than we can to Him.

Whispering prayer for strength sufficient to the day, friend.

Not happy with that diagnosis! :( But I know you and Dwight, though weak have strong faith in the right place. May God have Mercy and grant speedy healing and give you strength spiritually, physically and emotionally. <3 to you both.

Holding on tight with you, Leslie. And praying right now for you dear husband. Lord, please heal Leslie's husband. Give him the strength to recover, and help the doctors aid him in every way possible. Lord, please also give Leslie strength and courage during this difficult time. Be present with her in that hospital room; let her feel your love and strength. Amen.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope he feels better soon. My best friend's husband was recently in a freak accident. A goal post (from soccer) fell on his head and it fractured it in many places. Thankfully, he is now stable. Will pray for you and your husband.
