i miss your hands.

i miss you, mom.

i miss your hands,

the way they held a pen

or brush,

the way they hovered over

a box full of color

and chose, unerringly.

they were large hands,

still strong

when you were drawing.

they were soft,

i remember.

i held them after you left

and i remember.

i miss your hands

and your heart,

This series of posts has been so beautiful, Leslie. My heart aches for your loss.

oh my...there is nothing to say except I am so sorry. It is so hard to lose someone you loved so gentle with yourself.

it is all about the unerring, here.
it holds it all, it holds mum.
the earnestness, the heartfulness talking, longing. delicate.

Lovely sentiment. I know you miss her terribly and think of her all the time. i love my mom's hands too and miss seeing and touching my dad's hands, especially today.

This is such a beautiful tribute. My mom's hands have always been a source of peace and calm and wonder for me, too. I'm holding you in my heart as you grieve for your mom.
