Ah, February. Where did you go? You gave me fuchsia days...

...and also days like this. Holly Golightly and I call them the mean reds.❊

Only I didn't go to Tiffany's. I prefer a good book to silence the inner screaming.

And maybe a plate of cookies.

❊ Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?

Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?

Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?

Paul Varjak: Sure.

Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!

When I saw the name "Golightly," Mr. Golightly came to mind and I thought you might be reading Sally Vicker's books.
Praying the mean reds go away and peace fills you.

I am sure hugs from that sweet kitty helps you. The shots are so sweet and adorable. I hope you are feeling better soon....

Hope the mean reds go away soon. I get them sometimes too - a fear of something I cannot quite name.

too bad we're not having tiffany's at a cab's length, but there's other things... most times.

I hope the fuchsia days return soon for you. Music usually soothes the soul for me.

A better week ahead ...
